Biography
Janina Faye (née Smigielski) is an English actress and director. Born in Hammersmith, London, in 1948, she began her career as a child performer in the mid-1950s with uncredited film roles.
She is known for appearances in British horror and fantasy films, including Tania in Dracula (1958), Jean Carter in Never Take Sweets from a Stranger (1960) and Susan in The Day of the Triffids (1963). Other credits include Room at the Top (1959). Faye also worked in theatre, playing Helen Keller in a 1961 London production of The Miracle Worker and later appearing with the National Theatre. In 1998 she co-starred in the short film Green Fingers.
