Biography
Jason Kim is a Korean-born writer and producer working in television and theatre. He has writing credits on the HBO series Barry (2018–2023), for which he also served as producer and supervising producer.
His other television work includes writing and producing roles on HBO’s Girls (2015–2017), Netflix’s Love (2016–2018), Fox’s Gracepoint (2014) and HBO’s Divorce (2019). He received a Writers Guild of America Award for Comedy Series for Barry and shared Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Kim has written for the stage, including the play The Model American and the musical KPOP, which premiered Off-Broadway and transferred to Broadway. He is producing the film adaptation of Crying in H Mart and has an overall deal with 20th Television and Onyx Collective.
