Biography
Jason Lew is a Chinese-American screenwriter, director and actor. He graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he studied drama, directing and design, and spent ten years working in the New York theatre scene before moving to Los Angeles.
Lew wrote the screenplay for Restless (2011), directed by Gus Van Sant, and made his feature directorial debut with The Free World (2016), which he also wrote and produced. He has written episodes of the series Insecure (2016), for which he also acted, and Ballers, and served as a writer and producer on Mrs. Davis (2023) and Memory of a Killer (2026).
