Biography
Jason Scott Lee is an American actor and martial artist. Born on 19 November 1966 in Los Angeles, California, he is of Hawaiian and Chinese descent and was raised in Hawaii from the age of two. He studied acting at Fullerton College under coach Sal Romeo and made his film debut in Born in East L.A. (1987).
Lee is known for his leading roles as Bruce Lee in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (1993) and Mowgli in The Jungle Book (1994). He voiced David Kawena in the animated Lilo & Stitch (2002) and its sequel, and appeared as Böri Khan in the live-action Mulan (2020). In 2025 he played the Lū'au Manager in the live-action Lilo & Stitch. Other credits include Soldier (1998), Seventh Son (2014) and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (2016), as well as the series Hawaii Five-0 and Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.. He has also worked in theatre, including a 2000 West End production of The King and I.
