Biography
Jay Torres is a director, producer and editor. He began his career as a music video editor, working on videos for artists including Aerosmith, Metallica and Salt-N-Pepa.
He later moved into episodic television, directing second-unit work and episodes of series including Alias (2005) and Desperate Housewives (2007). He received award nominations for his directing on both shows. Torres has also directed commercials and content for brands such as Walmart and DirecTV, and served as executive producer and showrunner on the Vudu series Mr. Mom (2019).
He is co-founder of the production company iDENTITY, which focuses on stories for the American Latino market. Torres served in the US Army as a military policeman and has held roles on DGA committees.
