Biography
Jayne Eastwood is a Canadian actress and comedian. Born in Toronto on 17 December 1946, she attended Northern Secondary School. She was a member of the original 1972 Toronto cast of the musical Godspell alongside Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Gilda Radner and others, and became an early member of the Toronto Second City troupe, appearing on the related series SCTV.
Eastwood’s film roles include Betty in Goin’ Down the Road (1970), a part in Videodrome (1983), the waitress in The Santa Clause (1994), Mrs White in the My Big Fat Greek Wedding films (2002–2023), Mrs Borusewicz in Chicago (2002) and Miss Wimsey in Hairspray (2007). On television she has appeared in King of Kensington, This Is Wonderland, Little Mosque on the Prairie and voice work in series such as PAW Patrol.
She was previously married to David Flaherty and has received ACTRA awards for her work.
