Biography
Jean-Emmanuel Pagni is a French actor born on 21 January 1972. He is known for his role as Santi in the 2009 film A Prophet directed by Jacques Audiard, and for appearances in The Corsican File (2004) as a separatist, Parisienne (2016), Mrs. Davis (2023) as Dumont, and Grand Expectations (2022) as Lieutenant Hassani.
Pagni trained in theatre and has performed with the Théâtre Nomad company under Luke Dixon in productions of Macbeth and As You Like It. He appeared in Three Nohs of Ireland by W. B. Yeats at Lille 2004, directed by Christophe Maltot, and has worked as a Butoh dancer, including in Curious Fish (2005) at the Edinburgh Festival. He divides his time between Paris and London.
