Biography
Jean Lépine is a Canadian cinematographer born in 1948. He trained at the National Film Board of Canada and began his career in camera and electrical departments before advancing to director of photography roles.
He is known for his frequent collaborations with director Robert Altman, serving as director of photography on The Player (1992), Vincent & Theo (1990), Bob Roberts (1992) and Prêt-à-Porter (1994). Other credits include A Home of Our Own (1993) and Séraphin: Heart of Stone (2002).
Lépine received the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Cinematographer for The Player and a Jutra Award for Best Cinematography for Séraphin: Heart of Stone.
