Biography
Jean-Louis Blondeau is a French photographer and long-time collaborator of high-wire performer Philippe Petit. He assisted with the planning and rigging of several of Petit's early illegal high-wire walks, including those at Notre Dame Cathedral and Sydney Harbour Bridge, and played a central role in the 1974 walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center.
Blondeau appears as himself in the 2008 documentary Man on Wire, which details the World Trade Center performance, and supplied many of the photographs featured in the film. He is also credited as additional crew on the 2021 documentary series Rise and Fall: The World Trade Center.
