Biography
Jean-Louis Livi is a French film producer. He was born on 29 January 1941 in Marseille.
Livi produced The Father (2020), for which he received an Academy Award nomination and two BAFTA Film Award nominations. Other credits include A Heart in Winter (1992), Read My Lips (2001) and Maigret (2022). He is the nephew of actor Yves Montand.
Livi worked at the Artmedia casting agency from 1970, later heading it from 1982 to 1990. Between 1990 and 2006 he directed the production companies Film par film and SEDIF Productions; since 2006 he has directed F comme film and manages Solivagus Productions. With Bernard Murat he co-directed the Théâtre des Mathurins and the Théâtre Édouard VII in Paris. He became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2021.
