Biography
Jean-Michel Humeau is a French cinematographer. He studied at the Institut des hautes études cinématographiques (IDHEC) from 1957 to 1959 and began working in the industry as an assistant cameraman, including on Jacques Demy's La Baie des Anges (1963).
Humeau has served as director of photography on numerous features and documentaries. His credits include co-cinematography on Souleymane Cissé's Yeelen (1987), L'Enfant lion (1993), Voyage à Ouaga (2001) and Kabala (2002). He is a member of the Association Française des directeurs de la photographie cinématographique (AFC).
