Biography
Jean Pierre Noher is a French-born Argentine actor. Born in Paris on 5 May 1956, he is a great-nephew of director Max Ophüls. He moved to Argentina as a young man, debuting on Argentine television in 1979 and in film in Alejandro Doria's Darse cuenta (1984). He has worked extensively in theatre as well as film and television in Argentina, Brazil and Spain.
Noher played Jorge Luis Borges in the 2000 film Un amor de Borges, a role that brought him awards at the Gramado Film Festival, Miami International Film Festival and Biarritz International Festival of Latin American Cinema. He portrayed Ernesto Guevara Lynch in Walter Salles's The Motorcycle Diaries (2004). Other credits include Valentín (2002), Estômago: A Gastronomic Story (2008), From Beginning to End (2009), The Man from the Future (2011) and the series Brazil Avenue (2012) and Maradona, Blessed Dream (2021).
