Biography
Jeanne Carpenter was an American actress whose career began in the silent era. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, she made her film debut as a child in Daddy-Long-Legs (1919) and appeared in numerous films through the 1920s, including Helen's Babies (1924) and A Boy of Flanders (1924).
She continued with occasional uncredited adult roles, among them the diner in the restaurant scene in City Lights (1931). Her final screen appearance was as a telephone operator in Week-End at the Waldorf (1945). Carpenter also performed in community theatre later in life.
