Biography
Jeanne Lapoirie is a French cinematographer. She graduated from the École nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière in 1984 and began her career working as a camera assistant, including with Thierry Arbogast. Her first feature as director of photography was Wild Reeds (1994), directed by André Téchiné.
Lapoirie has collaborated extensively with directors including Téchiné, François Ozon and Robin Campillo. Her credits include Under the Sand (2000), 8 Women (2002), Age of Uprising: The Legend of Michael Kohlhaas (2013), BPM (Beats per Minute) (2017), Benedetta (2021) and Last Summer (2023). She has received three César Award nominations for Best Cinematography.
