Biography
Jeff Astrof is a television writer and producer. He began his career on Wall Street before moving to Los Angeles and joining the Warner Bros. Television Writers' Workshop. In 1994 he and his writing partner Mike Sikowitz joined the staff of the new sitcom Friends, where he worked as a story editor and writer for the first two seasons.
Astrof later wrote for series including Duckman (1994), The New Adventures of Old Christine (2006–2010), Ground Floor (2013–2015) and Angie Tribeca (2016). He co-created Trial & Error (2017) and co-created Shining Vale (2022) with Sharon Horgan. He has been married to picture editor Shawni Modrell since 2000.
