Biography

Jeff Greenstein is an American television writer, producer and director. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated from Tufts University in 1984 with a degree in film and dance.

He began his career as a writer on Dream On, later becoming showrunner. Greenstein wrote four episodes and served as supervising producer on 23 episodes of Friends during its first season (1994–1995). He co-created Partners (1995–1996) and Getting Personal (1998), and was head writer and showrunner on Will & Grace for its first six seasons. His other credits include writing, producing and directing on Desperate Housewives.

Greenstein won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series as a producer on Will & Grace in 2000.
