Biography
Jeff Malmberg is an American documentary filmmaker and editor. His debut feature as director, Marwencol (2010), won the SXSW Grand Jury Prize and more than two dozen other awards. He co-directed and edited the series Shangri-La (2019) and received a Grammy nomination for the work.
Malmberg directed Spettacolo (2017), for which he received a Guggenheim Fellowship, and Mickey: The Story of a Mouse (2022). He edited Morgan Neville's Won't You Be My Neighbor? (2018), which earned a Critics' Choice Documentary Award for Best Editing shared with Aaron Wickenden. He has also directed The Saint of Second Chances (2023).
