Biography
Jeffrey D. Brown is an American film and television director, producer and screenwriter. Educated at New York University, he began working in film in the late 1970s.
He is best known for writing, directing and producing the short film Molly's Pilgrim (1985), which won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 1986. Brown has directed episodes of television series including The Wonder Years (1988–1990), L.A. Law (1992), Hooperman, Baby Boom and CBS Schoolbreak Special, for which he received a Daytime Emmy Award. He co-wrote and produced the feature films Pontiac Moon (1994) and Dream with the Fishes (1997) with Finn Taylor, and directed the narrative feature Sold (2014).
