Biography
Jeffrey Stepakoff is an American television writer, producer and author. He earned a BA in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MFA in playwriting from Carnegie Mellon University in 1988. After the 1988 Writers Guild strike, he began writing for series including Simon & Simon, Major Dad and The Wonder Years.
Stepakoff has written for more than a dozen series, including Sisters, Dawson's Creek (as co-executive producer) and Chasing Life. He contributed to Disney animated films Tarzan and Brother Bear, and has written several novels. He is associate professor of screenwriting at Kennesaw State University and was founding executive director of the Georgia Film Academy.
