Biography
Jennifer Vanderbes is an American novelist, journalist and screenwriter. She was born in New York City in 1974 and studied English at Yale University, where she graduated magna cum laude, before earning an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
Vanderbes has written for film and television, including multiple episodes of the NBC series Law & Order (1990) from 2022 onward, where she has also served as story editor, executive story editor and producer. She has developed projects with studios including HBO, Netflix and Paramount, and received screenwriting awards such as the Athena List prize and a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship.
