Biography
Jeremiah S. Chechik is a Canadian film and television director and photographer. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he studied theatrical arts at McGill University and began his career as a fashion photographer for Vogue before moving into commercials and feature films.
His feature credits include National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989), Benny & Joon (1993), Diabolique (1996) and The Avengers (1998). He has directed episodes of numerous television series, including five episodes of Chuck (2009–2012), as well as work on Burn Notice, Gossip Girl and The Gifted.
In 2007 he directed all eight episodes of the miniseries The Bronx Is Burning. The following year he and producer Michael Birnbaum purchased the screen rights to the House of Night book series.
