Biography

Jeremy Bear is a British production designer who worked primarily in television. He trained in graphics at Brighton College of Art and began his career designing exhibition stands before joining the BBC in 1965 as a design assistant. He was promoted to designer within 18 months and contributed to early colour television productions including episodes of Dixon of Dock Green and Z Cars.

Bear served as production designer on the Doctor Who serials The Mutants (1972) and The Seeds of Doom (1976), having earlier worked uncredited as a design assistant on The Savages (1966). His other credits include production design on The Onedin Line (1971–1974) and The Sandbaggers (1980). He has also worked as an art director on later projects such as Food of Love (1997).
