Biography
Jerry Colonna was an American actor, comedian and musician. He voiced the March Hare in the Walt Disney animated film Alice in Wonderland (1951). He also provided narration for the 'Casey at the Bat' segment of Make Mine Music (1946).
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Colonna began his career as a trombonist in orchestras and dance bands. He later became known for his work on Bob Hope's radio programme and appeared in several Hope films, including Road to Singapore (1940) as Achilles Bombanassa and Road to Rio (1947). Other credits include The Road to Hong Kong (1962) and Meet Me in Las Vegas (1956).
Colonna died in 1986.
