Biography

Jerry Young (1916–2015) was a film and television editor. He worked on feature films including Caught (1949, as assistant film editor under the name Jerome Young), Plunder Road (1957, as Jerry S. Young), Private Property (1960) and A Cold Wind in August (1961).

His television credits include editing episodes of The Fugitive (1963), The Invaders (1967), Cannon (1971), The Streets of San Francisco (1972–1976), T. J. Hooker (1982–1986) and MacGyver (1985). He also edited the miniseries Shōgun (1980). Young received three Primetime Emmy nominations for his editing work.
