Biography
Jesse Akele is a British actress. She was raised in Bradford and moved to London to take the LAMDA foundation course. She then studied on the BA Acting course at East 15, where she received the Laurence Olivier Bursary Award, and graduated in 2018.
Her screen credits include the role of Nurse Pinkney in the film Allelujah (2022). On television she has appeared in Call the Midwife (2022) as Cindy Dalvert, Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything (2022) as Nurse Linda, and Vera (2023) as Ria Leggate. Earlier work includes stage productions such as The Unnatural Tragedy at the White Bear, Bare for Raindog Films, There Are No Beginnings at Leeds Playhouse and Sirens at the Mercury Theatre.
