Biography
Jessi Ruth Klein is an American writer, producer and stand-up comedian. Born in New York City, she graduated from Vassar College and began her career in development at Comedy Central, where she contributed to shows including Chappelle's Show.
She served as head writer and executive producer on Inside Amy Schumer, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series in 2015. Klein has written for Transparent (2014), Saturday Night Live, Dead to Me and Black Monday, and has voiced a character on the animated series Big Mouth. She is the author of the New York Times bestsellers You'll Grow Out of It (2016) and I'll Show Myself Out (2022).
