Biography
Jessica Poter is an American television writer. She holds a B.A. in Theater Studies from Yale University and has studied and performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, The Groundlings Theater, and the Broadway Theatre Project.
She began her career with assisting roles in writers’ rooms before joining the ABC Writers Program in 2017, which led to her position as a staff writer and later story editor on Modern Family (2009). She has written episodes of Hot in Cleveland (2015), black-ish (2017), Danger Force (2020), Pivoting (2022), and Marvel's Hit-Monkey (2021), and has also worked as a producer on several of these series.
