Biography
Jill Eikenberry is an American actress who has worked in film, television and theatre. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she studied anthropology at Barnard College before training at the Yale School of Drama.
She began her career on stage in the early 1970s and made her feature-film debut in the late 1970s. Eikenberry is known for playing Susan Johnson in the 1981 comedy Arthur and for her long-running role as lawyer Ann Kelsey in the NBC series L.A. Law (1986–94). For the latter she received five Primetime Emmy Award nominations and won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama Series in 1989.
She received an Obie Award in 1986 for her performances in the Off-Broadway plays Lemon Sky and Life Under Water. Eikenberry has been married to actor Michael Tucker since 1973; the couple appeared together on L.A. Law.
