Biography
Jim Barnes is an American television writer and producer. He has written episodes of The Walking Dead (2010), including several in seasons 10 and 11, and served as co-executive producer on the series from 2019 to 2022. He also contributed teleplays and stories for the programme.
Barnes has written for other series including Timeless (2016), Gotham (2014), Falling Skies (2011), Revolution (2012) and Nikita (2010). He has held producing roles on Timeless and Gotham. In 2021 AMC Studios signed him to a multi-year overall deal to develop and produce new series.
The son of civil rights attorneys, Barnes is a graduate of the University of Michigan and an alumnus of the Warner Bros. Workshop.
