Biography
Jim Wilson is an American film producer and director. He co-founded Tig Productions with Kevin Costner in 1988 and has produced numerous films starring Costner.
Wilson produced Dances with Wolves (1990), for which he shared the Academy Award for Best Picture with Costner. His other producing credits include The Bodyguard (1992), Wyatt Earp (1994), The Postman (1997), Message in a Bottle (1999), Mr. Brooks (2007) and Swing Vote (2008). He has also directed films such as Head Above Water (1996) and 50 to 1 (2014).
Wilson executive produced the television mini-series 500 Nations (1995).
