Biography
Jimmy Iovine is a music producer and film producer. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he began his career as a recording engineer at the Record Plant studio before moving into production. He produced albums for artists including John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Stevie Nicks and U2.
In 1990, Iovine co-founded Interscope Records. He served as a producer on the film 8 Mile (2002) and as executive producer on Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2005) and More than a Game (2008). Iovine co-founded Beats Electronics with Dr. Dre and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022 with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
