Biography
Joann Carelli is a film producer. She produced Heaven's Gate (1980), directed by Michael Cimino, and is also credited as music supervisor on the film. She had previously served as associate producer on Cimino's The Deer Hunter (1978) and later produced his The Sicilian (1987).
Cimino's girlfriend at the time, Carelli was hired to produce Heaven's Gate. She appears in archive footage in the 2004 documentary Final Cut: The Making and Unmaking of Heaven's Gate.
