Biography

Joaquín Notario is a Spanish actor and writer. He was born in 1959 in Yunquera de Henares, Guadalajara, in Castilla-La Mancha.

Notario has worked extensively in theatre, particularly classical Spanish drama, and has appeared in films and television series. His screen credits include the role of Samuel, Julieta’s father, in Pedro Almodóvar’s Julieta (2016), Fede in Deaf (2025), an economic crimes agent in Getaway Plan (2017), Fernando II de Braganza in the series Isabel (2012), and Sargento Carcaño in Cuéntame cómo pasó (2001). He has also contributed as a writer, notably on Kasbah (2000).
