Biography
Jocelyn Moorhouse is an Australian film director and screenwriter. She was born on 4 September 1960 in Melbourne and graduated from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in 1984.
Moorhouse made her feature debut with Proof (1991), which she wrote and directed. She produced Muriel's Wedding (1994), directed by her husband P. J. Hogan, and went on to direct the Hollywood films How to Make an American Quilt (1995) and A Thousand Acres (1997). Later credits include writing and directing The Dressmaker (2015) and directing television series such as Stateless (2020) and Boy Swallows Universe (2024). She has also collaborated with Hogan as producer on Mental (2012).
