Biography
Joe Delia (born 11 October 1948) is an American composer, musician and arranger. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he began his career in the 1960s as a singer and keyboardist with the group The Bruthers, later working as a session musician and touring with artists including Chuck Berry, Pat Benatar and Stevie Wonder.
Delia is best known for his long collaboration with director Abel Ferrara, composing scores for films including Ms .45 (1981), King of New York (1990), Bad Lieutenant (1992), Body Snatchers (1993), The Addiction (1995), The Funeral (1996) and Zeros and Ones (2021). He has also scored other features such as The Driller Killer (1979), The Substitute 2: School's Out (1998) and The Tao of Steve (2000), as well as television series and documentaries.
