Biography
Joe Di Reda (also credited as Joe DiReda, Joseph Di Reda and variants) was an American character actor. Born Joseph James di Reda on 16 September 1928 in Worcester, Massachusetts, he appeared in supporting roles in films and on television from the mid-1950s until the early 1990s. He died in Worcester on 16 June 2007.
His film credits include Sweet Smell of Success (1957), The Enemy Below (1957), The Sand Pebbles (1966) as Shanahan, The Andromeda Strain (1971) as Wildfire Computer Sgt. Burk, The Parallax View (1974) as Ralph Scoletta and The Hindenburg (1975). On television he appeared in series such as Batman (1966) as Mars, MASH (1972) as Dorsett, The Six Million Dollar Man (1974), The A-Team (1983) as a bartender and General Hospital* as Angel Moran.
