Biography
Joe Pitt is an animator, character designer and director. He directed twelve episodes of the Disney animated series Gravity Falls (2012–2014) and served as character designer on fourteen episodes.
A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts, Pitt has contributed visual development and character design to films including Wreck-It Ralph (2012), Winnie the Pooh (2011), The Croods: A New Age (2020) and Orion and the Dark (2024). He has also worked on the series Steven Universe and Mickey Mouse (2013), and is married to animator Clio Chiang.
