Biography
Joe Weisberg is an American television writer, producer and novelist. He created and served as showrunner for the FX series The Americans (2013–2018), on which he also wrote episodes, and co-created the limited series The Patient (2022) with Joel Fields.
Weisberg grew up in Chicago and graduated from Yale University in 1987. He worked in the CIA’s Directorate of Operations in the early 1990s before becoming a high-school teacher and novelist. His novels include 10th Grade (2002) and An Ordinary Spy (2008). He wrote episodes for Falling Skies (2011) and Damages. He is the son of Lois Weisberg and brother of Jacob Weisberg.
