Biography
Joey Bishop, born Joseph Abraham Gottlieb, was an American actor, comedian and television host. He appeared in films from the late 1950s and was a member of the Rat Pack alongside Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Lawford.
Bishop played 'Mushy' O'Connors in Ocean's Eleven (1960). He also appeared in Sergeants 3 (1962) and Texas Across the River (1966), and had roles in television series including Get Smart and Murder, She Wrote. He starred in his own sitcom, The Joey Bishop Show (1961–1965), and hosted a late-night talk show on ABC.
Bishop was born on 3 February 1918 in the Bronx, New York City, and died on 17 October 2007 in Newport Beach, California.
