Biography
Joey Gaydos Jr. is an American actor and guitarist. Born on 18 April 1991 in Dearborn, Michigan, he began playing guitar at the age of three. He gained his only film role after a music video of him performing with friends reached casting representatives for the 2003 comedy The School of Rock.
In the film, directed by Richard Linklater, Gaydos Jr. played Zack Mooneyham, the lead guitarist in the student band. Following its release he promoted the picture with television appearances including on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He subsequently focused on music, releasing a self-titled album in 2004 and working with bands such as the Joey Gaydos Group and Stereo Jane, while also teaching guitar.
