Biography
Joey Gutierrez is an American television writer and producer of sitcoms. Born in 1963 in Calumet City, Illinois, he began his career as a stand-up comedian at the age of sixteen and wrote many of Jerry Seinfeld's routines in the early seasons of Seinfeld.
His writing credits include episodes of Married... with Children (1990), Martin (1992–1995), Murphy Brown (1994), The Drew Carey Show (1996–1999), Yes, Dear (2000–2002) and Still Standing (2002–2006). He served as co-executive producer on Yes, Dear and executive producer on Still Standing, which he co-created with Diane Burroughs. Later credits include work on Raising Hope, Last Man Standing, The Kids Are Alright and Resident Alien.
