Biography
Joey Iwanaga is a second-generation Japanese-American actor. Born on 5 June 1994 in Los Angeles, California, he began his career with a leading role in the 2013 film Dancing Karate Kid and has appeared in numerous Japanese action films and series.
His international breakthrough came with the role of Shimakura in Enter the Fat Dragon (2020), opposite Donnie Yen. He is also known for performances in Alice in Borderland (2020) as Sohta Itsuki, Rurouni Kenshin: The Final (2021) as Tenmon Inui, Baby Assassins 2 (2023) as Yuri Kamimura, and The Furious (2026) as Pak Lung.
Iwanaga has a background in dance and martial arts, including full-contact karate, boxing and taekwondo. He was recently signed for management by Artists First.
