Biography
Johanna Coelho is a cinematographer working in television and film. Born and raised in France, she moved to Los Angeles in 2011 and studied cinematography at the American Film Institute.
She served as sole director of photography on all episodes of the HBO Max series The Pitt (2025), a medical drama in which each episode follows one hour of a 15-hour shift. She previously worked on seasons 2 and 4 of the ABC series The Rookie (2018). Her feature credits include Séance and All Happy Families.
In 2018 she was named by Variety as one of its Up Next generation of filmmakers. In 2025 she received the Distinguished Filmmaker Award at the International Cinematographers Guild Emerging Cinematographer Awards.
