Biography
Johanna Scherz is an Austrian film producer. Born in Graz in 1980, she worked independently in advertising, corporate, image and music films from 2000 to 2006. From 2007 she was employed at Novotny & Novotny Filmproduktion GmbH, becoming production manager there in 2010.
Since 2018 she has been a producer and authorised signatory at Film AG Produktions GmbH (formerly Novotny & Novotny). Her credits include Corsage (2022), What We Wanted (2020), Family Dinner (2022), Alma & Oskar (2022) and Gentle Monster (2026). She is a member of the European Film Academy, the Austrian Film Academy and Film Fatal. Scherz received Diagonale awards for outstanding production achievement for What We Wanted in 2021 and Corsage in 2023.
