Biography
John Belluso (1969–2006) was an American playwright and television writer. Born in Warwick, Rhode Island, he studied dramatic writing at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, completing both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
His stage work focused on the lives of disabled people and included The Body of Bourne (2001), produced at the Mark Taper Forum, and other plays such as Pyretown, Gretty Good Time and A Nervous Smile. From 1999 to 2005 he directed the Mark Taper Forum’s Other Voices Project for writers with disabilities.
In television he wrote the episode 'The Trial of Jack McCall' for the first season of Deadwood (2004) and contributed to Ghost Whisperer (2005) and Eyes (2005).
