Biography
John Calvin is an American film and television actor. Born on 29 November 1947 in Staten Island, New York, he appeared in numerous television series and films from the early 1970s to the mid-1990s.
He played Howie Dickerson in the sitcom The Paul Lynde Show (1972–1973) and Reverend Willie Tenboom in Tales of the Gold Monkey (1982–1983). His film credits include Norma Rae (1979) as Ellis Harper, The Cheap Detective (1978), Making Love (1982), Back to the Beach (1987) and Critters 3 (1991). Calvin also guest-starred in series such as Columbo, The Six Million Dollar Man, Quantum Leap, The A-Team, Murder, She Wrote, Walker, Texas Ranger and In the Heat of the Night.
