Biography
John Convertino is an American musician and actor. He is the drummer and co-founder of the indie rock band Calexico, with whom he has contributed to numerous film soundtracks.
Convertino has appeared in small acting roles, including as an El Rodeo Band Member in Collateral (2004) and Brass Band Player #2 in I'm Not There (2007). Calexico provided the original music for The Guard (2011).
Born on 24 April 1963 in Mineola, New York, he grew up in Oklahoma and began his career playing in the band Giant Sand before forming Calexico with Joey Burns.
