Biography
John Harrison was a British theatre director, producer and writer. He served as artistic director of the Nottingham Playhouse (1952-57), the Birmingham Repertory Theatre (1961-66) and the Leeds Playhouse (1972-89), and wrote an autobiography, Not Quite Famous (2004).
He also worked in television as an executive and writer. His credits include episodes of Upstairs, Downstairs (1971), as well as other series such as Maigret and The Cedar Tree.
