Biography
John Joyce is a production designer specialising in stop-motion animation. He trained in fine arts and worked in design before entering animation, designing children's books and contributing to the art department on the later episodes of the series Mary Shelley's Frankenhole.
At Starburns Industries he progressed to production design on the short Beforel Orel: Trust (2012). His first feature credit was as production designer (with Huy Vu) on the stop-motion film Anomalisa (2015), directed by Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson; he also worked as set dresser during the low-budget production, which involved constructing multiple duplicate miniature sets.
