Biography
John Hardress Wilfred Lloyd CBE is an English television and radio producer and writer. Born on 30 September 1951 in Dover, Kent, he was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, where he was a member of the Footlights.
His credits include creating and producing Not the Nine O'Clock News (1979–1982), associate producer on the television adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (1981), and producing all four series of Blackadder (1983–1989). He co-created and produced Spitting Image (1984–1988) and created and produced QI (from 2003). He presents BBC Radio 4's The Museum of Curiosity.
Lloyd was appointed CBE in the 2011 New Year Honours for services to broadcasting. He has received BAFTA awards for his work on Not the Nine O'Clock News and Blackadder.
